Dear Tourism Partner, Happy New Year!

As we turn the page into 2026, I want to start by thanking our hoteliers, restaurateurs, retailers, attraction operators, city partners, and community advocates — for your continued commitment to making Southeast Volusia County a destination worth discovering, again and again.

This year marks a major moment in our nation’s history: the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. As communities across the country prepare to honor this milestone, we in the New Smyrna Beach Area have a unique opportunity to showcase our heritage, our hospitality, and our place in America’s story.

New Smyrna Beach is older than the country itself, with roots reaching back to 1768. That history — along with our art, culture, shoreline, and small-town spirit — gives us a powerful platform to attract travelers looking for deeper, more meaningful experiences in 2026. Our storytelling matters more than ever this year, and we look forward to helping visitors connect with what makes our region not just beautiful, but significant.

We’re starting the year with optimism and momentum:

Winter bookings are trending strongly, and we’re seeing early interest in spring travel and festivals.

Destination promotions will align with the national Semi-quincentennial theme, while staying true to what makes Southeast Volusia distinct.

New initiatives are underway, including expanded cultural programming, marketing collaborations, and sustainability projects that benefit both tourism and our residents.

2026 is not just a celebration year — it’s a growth year. It’s a chance to:

  • Reintroduce our destination to a wider audience.
  • Elevate the stories of our local businesses and historic neighborhoods.
  • Strengthening our infrastructure, services, and guest experience.
  • Welcome new visitors while keeping our small-town charm intact.

As always, your involvement is key. Whether you’re planning events, offering special experiences, or simply continuing to provide excellent service, every touchpoint matters, we encourage you to think creatively and proudly about how your business or organization can be part of this historic year.

Let’s make 2026 a year to remember — for our visitors, our community, and for each other. Here’s to a successful year filled with purpose, pride, and partnership.

Keep Traveling,
