Dear Tourism Partner, as 2025 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the year we’ve shared — and to extend my sincere thanks to each of you who plays a role in making Southeast Volusia County a vibrant and welcoming destination.
This has been a year of meaningful progress. Together, we’ve navigated changing traveler trends, strengthened collaboration between sectors, and delivered experiences that have brought visitors back time and again to the New Smyrna Beach Area. Whether you operate a hotel, manage a restaurant, curate a local experience, or work behind the scenes in city services — your contribution matters, and it’s deeply appreciated.
Throughout the year, our tourism economy has remained strong. We saw healthy occupancy in peak seasons, interest in off-season experiences, and growing engagement in our marketing initiatives. Events like the New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival, Flamingo Follies, and Light Up Flagler continued to reinforce our region’s appeal. These successes are a credit to the passion, professionalism, and hard work that each of you brings to the table.
As we enter the holiday season, it's important to recognize not just the numbers — but the spirit of hospitality that defines our community. Visitors often tell us how welcome they feel here, and that comes from the personal touch: a warm greeting at check-in, a recommendation from a local server, a memorable experience at a family-run shop or attraction. That’s what sets us apart.
Looking ahead to 2026, we remain focused on thoughtful growth, sustainability, and keeping the visitor experience front and center. We’ll be rolling out new initiatives to support marketing and community engagement — and we’ll need your continued partnership to make that work impactful.
