With even warmer weather just around the corner, we are working hard to keep visitors enjoying the area over the summer! I encourage each of you to continue sharing what makes our region unique—whether through hospitality, events, or new initiatives.
National Travel & Tourism Week – See You on May 7!
May 5–11 marks National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW), an annual celebration of the travel industry’s vital role in our economy and community. This year’s theme is about how travel “Powers Our Economy, Strengthens Our Community, and Connects Us All”—and we couldn’t agree more!
We’re excited to welcome you to the National Travel & Tourism Breakfast on Wednesday, May 7, at the Brannon Center. It’ll be a great morning of connection, insights, and celebration—featuring a keynote address from Milton Segarra, CDME, President & CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches.
Sustainable Tourism & Visitor Education
With the summer influx of visitors, it’s more important than ever to focus on sustainable tourism. Our Leave No Trace efforts continue to gain momentum, ensuring that visitors respect and protect the natural beauty of Southeast Volusia. Please remind guests about responsible beach and outdoor practices, including proper waste disposal, wildlife protection, and respecting our coastal ecosystems. Together, we can create an environment that remains pristine for generations to come.
Marketing & Industry Growth
Our marketing efforts are in full swing, with new digital campaigns designed to attract responsible and engaged travelers. From social media initiatives to targeted outreach in key markets, we are working hard to showcase the best of Southeast Volusia. If you have an upcoming event, special promotion, or a great visitor experience to share, we’d love to highlight it in our outreach.
Additionally, we continue to support local businesses and tourism partners through industry workshops and networking opportunities. Stay tuned for announcements about upcoming events designed to help strengthen our tourism community.
