National Travel & Tourism Week Recap
NTTW happened May 19-25, 2024, and the NSBAVB celebrated the week with our annual breakfast on May 9th. I want to thank the cities of Southeast Volusia for their proclamations for NTTW and all their support during the year.
We were honored to present Kathy Lundberg of Third Wave and Jamie Dudley of Springhill Suites as our Ambassadors of the Year! Congratulations to both! 🎉
Leave No Trace and Wheel the World were presented at the breakfast, showcasing our work with both companies. If you missed it and want more information, please contact us. We concluded our event with Dr. Sean Snaith, an Economist from UCF, presenting pertinent economic data on the economy and tourism.
What's New | Hurricane Preparedness
On another note, June 1st marks the beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, so please be prepared and start now preparing for what NOAA is calling an “Explosive” season. La Niña has warmed the waters; lately, even the thunderstorms have been severe. Please follow the local authorities, and you can even check our Community Resources page to find out the latest information on weather and shelters should storms affect our area.
